In the result of investigatory actions conducted in the framework of the criminal case investigated in the Investigative Division of Erebuni and Nubarashen administrative districts of Yerevan Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee actual data were obtained on exceeding official authorities by policemen while apprehending a resident from Republic Square.
 

A writ was received from the RA Ombudsman informing that the resident A. Araqelyan was subjected to battery in “Nubarashen” psychiatric clinic. Then A. Araqelyan also submitted a report informing that on May 17 in “Nubarashen” psychiatric clinic a number of employees tied her to bed and beat her.
 

Considering that the report apparently contains crime elements, a criminal case was initiated in the Investigative Division of Erebuni and Nubarashen administrative districts of Yerevan Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee according to the Article 118 of RA Criminal Code and necessary investigatory actions were conducted to find all circumstances of the case.
 

Numerous people were interrogated, including the employees of the mentioned hospital, other procedural actions were conducted. As a result, no evidence that would ground the circumstance mentioned in the report was obtained.
 

Forensic medical examination was commissioned to find circumstances significant for the criminal case however A. Araqelyan did not go to experts, she did not participate in confrontation with the employees of the clinic, either who had denied the circumstance of using violence.
 

During preliminary investigation the affected told that on May 17, 2016 after entering the fountains located in Republic Square she was apprehended by policemen mentioning about exceeding official authorities committed by them.
 

Considering that the statement of the affected apparently contains crime elements a criminal case was initiated in the RA IC Investigative Division of Erebuni and Nubarashen administrative districts according to the Part 2 of the Article 309 and was sent to Prosecution Office to be sent according to investigatory subordination.
 

Note; Everyone charged with alleged crime offence shall be presumed innocent until proved guilty according to law.
