A criminal case initiated on murder of a newly born child by the mother
On 21 February, 2015 materials prepared on murder of A. Sargsyan’s newly born child were received from Stepanavan Division of Lori Regional Department of Police.
Through the materials it was found that 27 year-old resident of Stepanavan, A. Sargsyan living alone temporarily in a trailer belonging to the resident of Lori region M. Asatryan, on 5 February, 2015 at 19:00 delivered a son.
According to the initial data, immediately after the birth the child was killed and later was buried in the cemetery of Stepanavan called “Russian”.
According to the written instruction of the Head of Lori Regional Investigative Department on 21 February, 2015 a criminal case was initiated in Stepanavan Investigative Division according to the Article 106 of RA Criminal Code.
Preliminary investigation is ongoing.
