A criminal case was initiated in Armavir Regional Investigative Department of RA Investigative Committee on murder of the resident of Mrgashat village Edward Meliqyan.
 

On April 29 at 11:30 a call was received from 53 year-old resident of Mrgashat informing that the body of the fellow villager Edik Meliqyan was found in the field near the road to Haykavan village.
 

The operative-investigative group headed by an investigator of particularly important cases of Armavir Regional Investigative Department left immediately for the scene. Through external inspection of the body damages in form of hemorrhage were found on his head and the shield cartilage of frontal surface of his neck.  
 

By the prepared materials a criminal case was initiated on murder of Edward Meliqyan according to the Part 1 of the Article 104 of RA Criminal Code. In the framework of the criminal case necessary investigatory and procedural measures are taken to provide the comprehensive and objective examination of the circumstances of the case. The appropriate subdivisions of the Police were tasked to take operative-intelligence measures to find possible witnesses, as well as to identify the person having committed the apparent crime.
