On September 20, 2015 at 18:00 a report was received from the resident of Sisian town, Valerik Davtyan informing that his son Suren Davtyan had left home on September 19, 2015 at about 12:00 in his own car “Volkswagen” and did not return.

In the result of searching operations conducted by the police officers based on Valerik Davtyan’s written report, on September 21 at about 08:40 Suren Davtyan’s wrecked car and his body were found in the area called “Boshka canyon” of the village of Tsghuk of Syuniq region.

The investigatory-operative group headed by the senior investigator for Particularly Important Cases of Syuniq Regional Investigative Department of RA Investigative Committee, A. Nshanyan left for the site.

According to preliminary investigation data, 26 year-old A. Davtyan (serviceman, officer), driving his “Volkswagen” on Meghri-Yerevan road went out  of traffic zone on the 202d km of the road, fell into the canyon and died of bodily damages caused by the accident.

Inspections of body, site and transportation means were conducted. According to the experts bodily damages typical of road accident were found on the body.

Forensic medical, forensic technical and forensic auto-technical examinations were commissioned to find a number of circumstances important for the case.
