Active investigative and procedural measures taken to examine the circumstances of murder of 6 members of the Avetisyans, as well as all the hypotheses
Active investigative and procedural measures are ongoing in the framework of the criminal case being investigated in General Department of Investigation of Particularly Important Cases of RA Investigative Committee on murder of 6 members of the Avetisyans and murder attempt of 6 months-old baby in Gyumri on 12 January in order to examine comprehensively the circumstances of the case, as well as the hypotheses put forward.
The investigative group is in Gyumri where, in addition to other investigative actions, additional inspection of the scene has been implemented together with experts. Complex examinations have been appointed.
The appropriate subdivisions of the police have been tasked to find if there are any cameras in surrounding areas of the scene, and to submit them to the investigative body if there are any.
The decryption of outgoing and incoming calls of the Avetisyans were required from the mobile operator considering that there are bases to suppose that the person having committed the murders could have stolen and used the victims’ phones.
Measures are taken to find the way of escape of RF serviceman after committing the apparent crime, his possible hiding places, circumstances of his being caught, as well as his actions after leaving the Russian military base located in Gyumri until he got to the Avetisyans’ house.
Taking the public interest into consideration we inform that through the investigation of the criminal case it was found how the person charged with murder of 6 persons entered the house of the Avetisyans. According to the investigation data he entered the house by taking out the frames of glass opening of the front door and breaking the glass.
In the result of the inspection of the scene and additional inspection 28 shells, 2 unfired bullets, one cartridge with bullets, a gun of “AKC 74” type, a military uniform with a symbol of RF armed forces were found.
Preliminary investigation is under way.
