In the framework of the criminal case investigated in the Investigative Division of Shengavit administrative district of Yerevan Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee circumstances of 26 year-old Qristine Arzumanyan’s murder, the motive were found, the person having committed the apparent crime was identified.
 

On January 13, 2017 a call was received from Yerevan resident informing that her friend Qristine Arzumanyan, born in 1990, on December 27, 2016 got in a taxi in Bagratunyats Street to return home but she did not return home and since then she has not heard from her.
 

A criminal case was initiated according to the Part 1 of the Article 104 of RA Criminal Code (murder) preliminary investigation of which was conducted in the Investigative Division of Shengavit administrative district of Yerevan Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee. An investigatory group was formed, an investigatory plan was worked out and necessary investigatory and procedural actions were conducted to find Q. Arzumanyan.
 

As a result, the taxi driver, whose car the victim got in on December 27, was identified. According to actual data, the victim knew him and frequently used his service. Besides, they played lottery with several other people and on the day of the incident the victim was to get the lottery money – 500.000 AMD.
 

On the evening of December 27 the girl asked to drive to Sisian and the driver agreed. On the way a row over lottery money erupted during which the driver hit the girl then pressed her neck with hands which caused the girl’s death and he threw the body in the canyon.
 

The young woman’s body was found at the place pointed by the driver – in the canyon located on the 5300^th meter of the highway from traffic circle of Yeraskhavan village of Ararat region to Yeghegnadzor.
 

Relevant samples were taken and forensic medical, forensic biological examinations were commissioned.
 

The suspect was arrested and questioned.
 

Preliminary investigation is ongoing. Necessary investigatory actions are conducted to provide the comprehensive, complete and objective investigation, to verify the circumstances mentioned by the suspect.
