Armed person fired shots and demanded money; criminal case initiated
A criminal case was initiated in the Investigative Division of Malatia-Sebastia administrative district of Yerevan Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee on assault committed against the employee of currency exchange office.
According to initial data, on December 9, 2016 at about 09:10 the masked person armed with a rifle entered the grocery store located at Andranik 7/385, Yerevan where a currency exchange office also operated and demanded money threatening to use violence dangerous for its employee’s life and health. The armed person fired 4 shots with the purpose of frightening but he escaped without swindling anything as the other employees of the store made a noise and the alarm system was on.
A criminal case was initiated according to the Point 1 of the Part 3 of the Article 175 and the Part 1 of the Article 235 of RA Criminal Code. Through inspection of the site 4 capsules of 5.45 mm were found.
Necessary investigatory actions are conducted to find all circumstance of the case, to identify the person having committed the apparent crime.
Note; Everyone charged with alleged crime offence shall be presumed innocent until proved guilty according to law.
