Preliminary investigation of the criminal case initiated on kidnapping the resident of Syuniq region by a group of people with prior agreement completed in Syuniq Regional Investigative Department of RA Investigative Committee, in the framework of which charge was pressed against 5 persons.
 

Through the evidence obtained during preliminary investigation it was found that the resident of Syuniq region I. Balasanyan had fallen in love with the 19 year-old resident of the same region. He had called her for many times offering her to make friends but the latter had refused. Being refused I. Balasanyan had decided to kidnap her with the purpose of marriage and had reached prior agreement with his brother and friends to realize his plan.
 

On 24 February, 2015 I. Balasanyan’s friend invited the girl to the park under the pretext of talking where by using violence they got her into the car driven by Balasanyan’s brother and kidnapped her. On the way to Sisian they changed the car and took the girl to Kapan, in spite of the fact that the girl had called for help, attempted to escape and demanded to set her free.
 

Through preliminary investigation the circumstances of the case were found, the persons having participated in kidnapping were identified.
 

On the base of the evidence obtained during pretrial proceeding 5 persons were charged according to the Point 1 of the Part 2 of the Article 131 of RA Criminal Code.
 

On March 5, 2015 the criminal case with the bill of indictment was sent to the prosecutor supervising the legality of the preliminary investigation.
 

Note; Everyone charged with alleged crime offence shall be presumed innocent until proved guilty according to law.
