A criminal case was initiated in Lori Regional Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee on kidnapping and banditry.
 

On February 21, 2016 at 21:55 a call was received from the ambulance service informing that the resident of Vanadzor, 41 year-old H. Varosyan with numerous injuries, hematomas on his body was taken to “Vanadzor Medical Center”.
 

During preparation of materials the injured told that on February 21, 2016 from 18:00 to 19:00 he took a man in his car “Ford” from one district of Vanadzor to another. On the way the man demanded money at a knifepoint and took his phone.
 

Then the car driven by H. Varosyan was stopped by another car “Niva”, at a knifepoint H. Varosyan was forced to get into “Niva” and was taken to the first kilometer section of Vanadzor-Dilijan road, was beaten with bludgeons being inflicted bodily injuries and the money he had was stolen.
 

Considering that in the prepared materials there are apparent crimes envisaged by the Points 1, 2, 3 of the Part 2 of the Article 131 and the Points 1, 4 of the Part 2 of the Article 175 of RA Criminal Code a criminal case was initiated in Lori Regional Investigative Department.
 

H. Varosyan was found an injured party, his clothes were confiscated, inspection of the site was conducted, forensic examination was commissioned.
 

A plan of investigatory actions and operative-intelligence measures has been worked out, investigatory and procedural actions of great volume are conducted to provide the comprehensive, complete and objective investigation of the case.
 

Note; Everyone charged with alleged crime offence shall be presumed innocent until proved guilty according to law.
