Through the criminal case investigated in the Department of Investigation of Crimes against Humanity of General Department of Investigation of Particularly Important Cases of the RA Investigative Committee a number of circumstances, the motive of 46 year-old Nver Hovhannisyan's murder were found out. Charge was pressed against 51 year-old resident of Ejmiatsin town.

It was earlier informed that on April 23, 2018 at 18:55 that the resident of Vagharshapat Nver Hovhannisyan, born in 1972, with diagnosis of «cut-pierced wound on the right part of the chest» was taken to «Ejmiatsin» medical center. Later it was informed from the medical center that during the operation at about 21:45 cardiovascular acute malnutrition and N. Hovhannisyan's biological death was registered.

A criminal case was initiated in the RA IC Armavir Regional Investigative Department according to the Part 1 of the Article 104 of RA Criminal Code, preliminary investigation of which was later conducted in the Department of Investigation of Crimes against Humanity of General Department of Investigation of Particularly Important Cases of the RA Investigative Committee.

In the result of investigatory and other procedural actions conducted within preliminary investigation the circumstances of the case, the scene, the motive were found out, the person having committed the alleged crime was identified; he is a resident of Armavir province, born in 1967.

Through preliminary investigation data were obtained that on the day of the incident during the argument on making a remark near the statue of Komitas of Ejmiatsin town, with the purpose of depriving N. Hovhannisyan from life, 51 year-old man stabbed him on the right part of the chest causing heavy bodily injury threatening to life and fled.

Considering that the latter was hiding from investigation, search had been declared and detention had been chosen as a pretrial measure against him. The Police were tasked to take necessary measures to find the wanted and bring him to the investigative body.

On May 23, 2019 51 year-old man under persecution was found and brought to the investigative body. Charge was pressed against him according to the Part 1 of the Article 104 of RA Criminal Code and detention was chosen as a pretrial measure against him.

Preliminary investigation was completed.
