On the base of the obtained sufficient evidence obtained within the criminal case investigated in Tavush Regional Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee charge was pressed against son for murdering 88 year-old woman.

In the result of urgent investigatory and other procedural actions conducted within the criminal case initiated in the RA IC Tavush Regional Investigative Department on murder a number of circumstances of murder, the motive were found out, the person having committed the alleged crime was identified; he is the victim’s son, born in 1957.

Particularly, it was found out that on March 15, 2019 at about 11:30 the resident of Tavush, born in 1957, argued with his mother in their house on domestic matter during which he hit his 88 year-old mother on the head with an axe on the balcony. On the same day the latter died in “Ijevan Medical Center” CJSC of bodily injuries she had sustained.

Charge was pressed against 62 year-old man according to the Part 1 of the Article 104 of RA Criminal Code. The investigator submitted a motion to court to choose detention as a pretrial measure against him. The motion was sufficed.

Forensic trace, forensic biological, forensic material complex examination, forensic medical examination of the body, as well as stationary forensic psychiatric examinations were commissioned to find out circumstances significant for the criminal case.

Preliminary investigation is ongoing. Measures are taken to provide the complete, objective and comprehensive investigation of circumstances of the case.

Note; Everyone charged with alleged crime offence shall be presumed innocent until proved guilty according to law.
