Preliminary investigation of the criminal case initiated on apparent abuses committed by the acting director of «Arpi Lake National Park» SNCO is ongoing in Akhuryan Investigative Division of Shirak Regional Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee. Charge was pressed against SNCO acting director.

In the result of investigatory and other procedural actions conducted during preliminary investigation a number of circumstances committed by the acting director of SNCO were found out.

It was earlier informed that the acting director of «Arpi Lake National Park» SNCO demanded and received bribe from residents of nearest village to permit grass haying at the area not envisaged by the contract.

Particularly, the acting director of SNCO, holding the mentioned position from 2019, demanded and received bribe in several amounts for obvious illegal inactivity in favor of a number of residents carrying out agricultural work; that is for providing haymaking and illegal grass haying without signing a contract on grass haying, as prescribed by law.

On the base of the obtained sufficient evidence charge was pressed against the acting director of SNCO according to the Part 2 of the Article 311 (7 counts), the Point 3 of the Part 3 of the Article 311 (2 counts), the Points 2 and 3 of the Part 3 of the Article 311, the Point 2 of the Part 4 of the Article 311 of RA Criminal Code. Detention was chosen as a pretrial measure against him.

Preliminary investigation is ongoing.
