In the framework of the criminal case investigated in the Investigative Division of Kentron and Norq-Marash administrative districts of Yerevan Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee charge was pressed against convict of “Nubarashen” penitentiary T. Alaverdyan for escape from hospital.

Through preliminary investigation it was found that by the verdict of the court of first instance T. Alaverdyan, born in 1987, was sentenced to imprisonment (the verdict has not come into force yet) and was kept in «Nubarashen» penitentiary of the RA Ministry of Justice. On November 10, 2017 he was taken to “Norq” infectious hospital because of health problems and was kept in the ward of the 5^th adult department of the mentioned hospital. Pursuant to the obtained actual data, taking advantage of official negligence displayed by the employees of “Nubarashen” penitentiary of the RA Ministry of Justice, on the night of November 14 he entered the bathroom then escaped through the door to the open balcony.

In the result of joint actions conducted by the employees of penitentiary of the RA Ministry of Justice and Police on the same day he was found in Armavir region and was brought to the investigative body.

On the base of the obtained sufficient evidence charge was pressed against 30 year-old T. Alaverdyan according to the Part 1 of the Article 355 of RA Criminal Code.

Preliminary investigation is ongoing, measures are taken to provide the objective, complete and comprehensive investigation of circumstances of the case.

Note; Everyone charged with alleged crime offence shall be presumed innocent until proved guilty according to law.
