In the result of necessary measures taken in the framework of the criminal case investigated in the Department of Investigation of Particularly Important Cases of General Military Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee charge was pressed against Lieutenant Colonel of Armed Forces for swindling by cheating and abuse of confidence.

Through comprehensive investigation actual data were obtained on the allegation that by cheating and abusing confidence Lieutenant Colonel received money in different amounts under the pretext of getting bribe for organizing military service in military units located at preferable places allegedly through an official.

On the base of the obtained sufficient evidence charge was pressed against Lieutenant Colonel according to the Points 1.1, 2 and 5 of the Part 2 of the Article 178 (3 counts), the Points 1.1, 2 and 5 of the Part 2 of the Article 34-178 and the Point 1.1 of the Part 2 of the Article 178 of RA Criminal Code.

Preliminary investigation is ongoing. Necessary investigatory and other procedural measures are taken to provide the comprehensive, complete and objective investigation of circumstances of the case.

Note; Everyone charged with alleged crime offence shall be presumed innocent until proved guilty according to law.
