Within the criminal case investigated in Lori Regional Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee on 46 year-old man's murder charge was pressed against the resident of Alaverdi. The latter was detained.

It was earlier informed that on April 4, 2019 at about 20:30 the 30 year-old resident of Alaverdi left Yerevan for Alaverdi in Arsen Sardaryan's car. On the way he argued with the latter during which he stabbed him on the head causing bodily injuries incompatible with life.  In order to conceal the crime traces he took the man’s body in the same car to an empty area in the administrative district of Alaverdi community and burnt. Then he took the burnt body to the field next to the road to Akori village of Lori and buried it under soil and leaves.

On the base of the obtained sufficient evidence charge was pressed against 30 year-old man according to the Part 1 of the Article 104 of RA Criminal Code. The investigator submitted a motion to court to choose detention as a pretrial measure against him. It was sufficed.

Preliminary investigation is ongoing. Measures are taken to provide the objective, complete and comprehensive investigation of circumstances of the case.

Note; Everyone charged with alleged crime offence shall be presumed innocent until proved guilty according to law.
