46 Year-Old Man’s Murder Disclosed; Suspect Arrested
In the result of investigatory actions of great volume conducted within the criminal case investigated in Lori Regional Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee circumstances of murder of the resident of Yerevan Arsen Sardaryan, who had been missing, were found out. 30 year-old resident of Alaverdi town was arrested on suspicion of committing murder.
On April 5, 2019 the resident of Yerevan submitted a report to Police Division of Malatia informing that on April 4, 2019 at about 16:30 his brother Arsen Sardaryan, born in 1973, drove to Spitak town in his car of «Mercedes» make and had been missing since then.
In the result of operative-intelligence, as well as operative-searching measures of great volume the mentioned car of «Mercedes» make was found. It was found out that the person driving the car at the moment, who was a resident of Alaverdi town, born in 1989, on April 4, 2019 was in the car with him leaving for Alaverdi.
Data were obtained that on the way at about 20:30 30 year-old resident of Alaverdi argued with Arsen Sardaryan during which he stabbed the latter on the head causing bodily injuries incompatible with life. In order to conceal the crime traces he took the man’s body in the same car to an empty area in the administrative district of Alaverdi community and burnt. Then he took the burnt body to the field next to the road to Akori village of Lori and buried it under soil and leaves.
On April 7, 2019 a criminal case was initiated in Lori Regional Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee according to the Part 1 of the Article 104 of RA Criminal Code.
On the same day 30 year-old resident of Alaverdi was arrested and gave testimony pointing out the place where he had buried the body.
Forensic medical examination of the body, forensic trace and forensic biological examinations were commissioned to find out circumstances significant for the criminal case.
Preliminary investigation is ongoing.
Note; Everyone charged with alleged crime offence shall be presumed innocent until proved guilty according to law.
