Charge Pressed against Three Men within Criminal Case on 28 Year-Old Man’s Murder Committed at Area Called “Arjitala”; Case Sent to Court

In the result of investigatory actions of great volume conducted in Lori Regional Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee circumstances of murder committed at the area called “Arjitala” were found out. On the base of the obtained sufficient evidence charge was pressed against three persons.

It was earlier informed that the resident of Lori province submitted a report informing that he and two men with prior agreement to steal somebody else’s property in significant amount on September 1, 2018 at about 20:00 at the area called “Arjitala” in Lori attacked the resident of Lori A. Aghajanyan and using violence dangerous for life and health that is hitting the latter with wood on different parts of his body stole his golden chain, golden ring and money.

On September 2, 2018 a criminal case was initiated in Lori Regional Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee according to the Points 1 and 4 of the Part 2 of the Article 175 of RA Criminal Code.

In the result of investigatory and other procedural actions conducted within the criminal case a number of circumstances were found out, the actions of each of those having committed the alleged crime were personalized, criminal legal assessment was given.

Particularly, through preliminary investigation it was found out that on August 31, 2018 the resident of Lori, born in 1990, reached prior agreement with his acquaintances living in the same province, born in 1995 and 1996, to steal the property of the warden of buildings located at the area called «Arjitala» A. Aghajanyan, distributed roles.

Pursuant to the agreement 29 year-old man, who had submitted the report, met the warden at the nearest beerhouse to weaken his alertness where they had alcohol together.

In the meantime two 23 year-old young men went to the area called “Arjitala” and with the purpose of stealing Albert Aghajanyan’s golden jewels illegally entered his dwelling. However, failing to find the golden jewels there they entered another apartment near the dwelling warded by Albert Aghajanyan, stole several items, put in their bags and hid them.

Noticing that the golden chain and ring were with A. Aghajanyan 29 year-old man called the two young men and instructed to hide at the dwelling and wait.

In order to carry out their criminal intention the three of them went to the dwelling and when Albert Aghajanyan went up to the dwelling to open the door, they attacked him and with the intend to illegally deprive him from life used violence dangerous for life; they hit Albert Aghajanyan who had fallen to the ground several times with wood on the head and different parts of his body causing heavy damage threatening to life.

Pursuant to investigation data, 5.000 AMD, a golden chain cost 200.000 AMD, a golden ring cost 112.000 AMD and a mobile phone of “Samsung” model cost 150.000 AMD were stolen from Albert Aghajanyan. Then they dragged Albert Aghajanyan who was unconscious to the dwelling, locked the door depriving him from an opportunity to call for help and fled.

On September 11, 2018 in “Saint Gregory the Illuminator” medical center Albert Aghajanyan died of bodily injuries he had sustained without regaining consciousness.

On the base of the obtained sufficient evidence charge was pressed against 29 year-old man according to the Points 7 and 8 of the Part 2 of the Article 104, the Point 1.1 of the Part 3 of the Article 38-177 of RA Criminal Code.

Charge was pressed against the other two young men, born in 1995 and 1996, according to the Points 7 and 8 of the Part 2 of the Article 104, the Point 1.1 of the Part 3 of the Article 177 of RA Criminal Code.

Preliminary investigation was completed and the criminal case with the bill of indictment was sent to court.
