Charge Pressed against Two Residents of Yerevan for Keeping and Sale of Counterfeited Money
Preliminary investigation of the criminal case initiated on manufacture, sale and keeping of counterfeited money was completed in the Investigative Division of Avan and Nor Nork administrative districts of Yerevan Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee. Charge was pressed against 2 residents of Yerevan.
Pursuant to data obtained through investigation 31 and 25 year-old two residents of Yerevan, reaching prior agreement on procurement and sale of counterfeited money, procured and kept 16 counterfeited banknotes of «100» USD nominal value and at the beginning of February sold them part by part in several branches of one of the banks operating in Yerevan, they also attempted to make cash.
On the base of the obtained sufficient evidence charge was pressed against 31 and 25 year-old men according to the Point 2 of the Part 2 of the Article 202 and the Point 2 of the Part 2 of the Article 34-202 of RA Criminal Code. Detention was chosen as a pretrial measure against them which was later replaced with mortgage.
Preliminary investigation was completed and the criminal case with the bill of indictment was sent to court.
Note; Everyone charged with alleged crime offence shall be presumed innocent until proved guilty according to law.
