On May 6, 2020 a criminal case was initiated in the Division of Investigation of Grave Crimes of Yerevan Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee according to the Point 5 of the Part 3 of the Article 258 of RA Criminal Code on online hooliganism combined with exceptional cynicism, threatening to use violence committed on «Facebook» social network by a user «Narek Sargsyan».  

During preliminary investigation of the criminal case a 21 minute video available for all the users of the network was downloaded from the personal page of the user «Narek Sargsyan» of «Facebook» social network through examination of which it was found out that the mentioned user scolded several incidents that had happened in Armenia and those involved in them, uttered impudent and insulting expressions also threatening to use violence.

On the base of the obtained sufficient evidence on May 8, 2020 charge was pressed against Narek Sargsyan according to the Point 5 of the Part 3 of the Article 258 (hooliganism) of RA Criminal Code. A motion was submitted to court to use detention as a pretrial measure against him.

Preliminary investigation is ongoing.
