In the framework of the criminal case investigated in Lori Regional Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee charge was pressed against LLC director for hindrance to the legal professional activity of a journalist.

On September 28, 2017 the director of «Lori TV» LLC, journalist Narine Avetisyan submitted a report informing that her legal professional activity was hindered while taking photos in Vanadzor town.

A criminal case was initiated in the RA IC Lori Regional Investigative Department according to the Part 1 of the Article 164 of RA Criminal Code and necessary investigatory and operative-searching measures were taken to find the circumstances of the case.

As a result, through preliminary investigation actual data were obtained on the allegation that at the beginning of the bridge combining Tumanyan and Lori Streets of Vanadzor asphalting work was carried out by LLC. N. Avetisyan as a journalist took photos of the work carried out in a rainy weather after which the person having committed the alleged crime took journalist's mobile phone and forbade her to take photos. N. Avetisyan was found an injured party and during recognition she recognized the LLC director as a person hindering her activity.  

On the base of the obtained sufficient evidence charge was pressed against LLC director according to the Part 1 of the Article 164 of RA Criminal Code, signature not to leave was chosen as a pretrial measure against him. The latter did not admit his guilt.  

Preliminary investigation is ongoing. Necessary investigatory actions are conducted to provide the comprehensive, objective and complete investigation of circumstances of the case, to verify the circumstances mentioned in the testimonies of the injured, witnesses. The results of forensic examinations have not been received yet.

Note; Everyone charged with alleged crime offence shall be presumed innocent until proved guilty according to law.
