Preliminary investigation of the criminal case initiated on murder of three persons in Hanqavan was completed in Kotayq Regional Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee. Through investigation the person having committed the apparent crime was identified, the motive was found.
 

On November 16, 2015 a call was received informing that two men’s bodies were taken to “Hrazdan medical center” CJSC, another man’s body was found at “Hot water” entertainment zone in Hanqavan village.
 

The investigatory-operative group headed by the Head of Kotayq Regional Investigative Department immediately left for the site. In the result of measures taken in the framework of the criminal case the dead persons were identified; they were the residents of Kotayq region, brothers Vardan and Vahe Galstyans and their friend Armen Hovhannisyan.
 

On November 17 a criminal case was initiated according to the Point 1 of the Part 2 of the Article 104 (murder of two or more persons), the Part 1 of the Article 235 (illegal procurement, keeping of weapons, ammunition) of RA Criminal Code. On the same day a decision on creating an investigatory group was made.
 

In the result of investigatory actions conducted during preliminary investigation it was found that on November 16, 2015 at about 18:30 at the area of the former camp “Ararat” located in Hanqavan community of Kotayq region a row erupted between the owners of the area - Galstyan brothers and forester G. Sepoyan over cutting trees in the mentioned area and other persons were also involved in the argument. The owners of the area blamed the forester for deforestation carried out in the mentioned area. The argument grew into a quarrel.
 

According to the evidence obtained during pretrial proceeding G. Sepoyan’s son H. Sepoyan being informed that his father argued and quarreled with residents of Hrazdan town, brothers Vardan and Vahe Galstyans during which his father was beaten and sustained bodily injuries, he went to the mentioned area. Getting to the barrier leading to the camp he fired shots with a firearm of factory production - combat rifle of 5.45 mm caliber of “AK-74” model towards Vardan Galstyan, Vahe Galstyan and their friend Armen Hovhannisyan who were in the mentioned place. As a result, Vardan Galstyan, Armen Hovhannisyan and Vahe Galstyan were inflicted firearm injuries which caused their death.
 

On the base of the obtained evidence charge was pressed against H. Sepoyan according to the Point 1 of the Part 2 of the Article 104 and the Part 1 of the Article 235 of RA Criminal Code. Detention was chosen as a pretrial measure against him.
 

The criminal case on H. Sepoyan’s part with the bill of indictment was sent to the prosecutor supervising the legality of preliminary investigation. A separate proceeding was separated to find other persons possibly involved in the mentioned crime preliminary investigation of which is ongoing.
 

Note; Everyone charged with alleged crime offence shall be presumed innocent until proved guilty according to law.
