In the framework of the criminal case investigated in the Investigative Division of Kentron and Norq-Marash administrative districts of Yerevan Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee the resident of Sevan G. Sargsyan was charged with murder of 21 year-old man.
 

It was earlier informed that on April 8, 2016 a call was received from university hospital N 1 after M. Heratsi informing that Azat Abrahamyan, born in 1995, with diagnosis of “cut- lacerated penetrating wound on the left part of the chest” was taken to hospital. Some hours later the young man died without regaining consciousness.
 

In the result of measures taken through investigation it was found that the injury dangerous for life had been inflicted to Azat Abrahamyan at the area near Yerevan State University. According to preliminary investigation data, on April 8, 2016 from 13:30 to 14:00 in order to clarify personal matters the resident of Sevan G. Sargsyan met A. Abrahamyan near Yerevan State University, the friends of both young men were also present at the meeting.
 

At G. Sargsyan’s offer he and A. Abrahamyan were separated from their friends to continue the conversation privately. According to the obtained evidence getting to the back part of the building of faculty of “Biology” G. Sargsyan stabbed A. Abrahamyan at his vital organs with a knife that was with him inflicting bodily injuries incompatible with life.
 

On the base of the obtained evidence charge was pressed against G. Sargsyan according to the Part 1 of the Article 104 of RA Criminal Code. The investigator submitted a motion to the court to use detention as a pretrial measure against him. The motion was sufficed.
 

Preliminary investigation of the criminal case is ongoing.
