In the result of necessary investigatory and other procedural actions conducted in Shirak Regional Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee a number of circumstances, motive of murder committed in Gyumri the day before were found out, the person having committed the alleged crime was identified.

On May 17 at 17:15 a call was received from Gyumri medical center informing that two people's bodies with firearm injuries were taken to medical center. In the result of taken measures the victims were identified; they are cousins, born in 1981 and 1985.

In the result of urgent measures taken in the framework of the criminal case initiated in the RA IC Shirak Regional Investigative Department the motive of murder was found, the person having committed the alleged crime was identified; he is a resident of Gyumri town, born in 1997.

The men sustained the firearm injuries incompatible with life on May 17 at about 17:00 during the quarrel that took place in Ghukasyan Street of Gyumri. Pursuant to preliminary investigation data, the quarrel started at about 15:30 in Teryan Street of Gyumri in which the brother of one of the victims and the resident of Gyumri, born in 1997, were involved. During the quarrel the latter beat the brother of one of the victims. Later the parties met in Ghukasyan Street to make clarifications on what had happened during which the young man, born in 1997, fired shots from a pistol towards the brother of the young man who had been beaten by him and his cousin. They died of firearm injuries they had sustained.

Through inspection of the scene 2 capsules of 9 mm and 3 capsules of 5.45mm, one bullet, bloodlike traces, mobile phone card were found. A number of urgent investigatory and procedural actions were conducted and on the base of the evidence obtained through them a decision was made to involve the resident of Gyumri, born in 1997, as a defendant according to the Points 1 and 6 of the Part 2 of the Article 104 and the Part 1 of the Article 235 of RA Criminal Code. Search was declared against him.

The relevant subdivision of the police was tasked to take measures to find and bring him to the investigative body.

Preliminary investigation of the criminal case is ongoing. Investigation is conducted to provide the comprehensive investigation of all circumstances of the case.
