Computer Lab of RA Investigative Committee Equipped with State-of-the-Art Equipment, Computer Systems and Software
Within the framework of the letter agreement signed between the Governments of the Republic of Armenia and the United States of America in 2001, funded by the Bureau of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs of the U.S. Department of State the computer lab of the RA Investigative Committee has been equipped with state-of-the-art equipment, computer systems and software.
The acquired equipment from now on will allow to copy all the information on computer memory (computers, cell phones, video recorders, etc.) not only in laboratories but also during the relevant investigative actions conducted at the scenes without confiscation of computer system, change of information and risk of loss.
State-of-the-art software of different types have also been acquired planned for expert examination of all types of computers, cell phones, video recorders, as well as examination, collection and recovery of information in them.
The improvement of the activity of the computer lab of the RA Investigative Committee as well as continuously equipping it with latest equipment and software will contribute to enhancement of efficiency of investigation of criminal cases, solving crimes, returning the computer systems confiscated from citizens and organizations to their owners in short terms as well as saving funds provided from the RA state budget for computer technical examinations to be conducted in the RA expertise institutions.
