The criminal case initiated on apparent abuses committed by the head of “Vorotan” hard-to-reach station was received in the proceeding of Vayots Dzor Regional Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee.

Pursuant to initial data, the head of “Vorotan” hard-to-reach station of “Hydrometeorology and Atmospheric Activity Service” of the RA Ministry of Emergency Situations, being an official, having organizational-managerial functions, being informed that two employees registered as technicians in the same station do not attend work, using his official position against the service interests, did not take any measures to inform the superior officials about it. As a result, from 2008 to August, 2019 salary of 25.187.171 AMD was calculated and withdrawn in their names from the state budget causing significant damage to the state.

On September 21, 2019 a criminal case was initiated in Vayots Dzor Police Division according to the Part 1 of the Article 308 of RA Criminal Code preliminary investigation of which is conducted in Vayots Dzor Regional Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee.

Measures are taken to provide the objective, complete and comprehensive investigation of circumstances of the case.
