Damage of about 7 million AMD Caused to Norakert Community Restored; Case Sent to Court
Preliminary investigation of the criminal case initiated on embezzlement in large amount from the funds owned by Norakert community was completed in Vagharshapat Investigative Division of Armavir Regional Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee.
In the result of necessary investigative and other procedural actions circumstances of the case, the amount of the damage caused to the community were found out.
Through investigation it was found out and grounded that the head of Norakert community, holding the mentioned position from 2019, being authorized to possess the funds owned by the community, from July, 2019 to September, 2020 using his official position, demanded and received money and receipts of 5,226,000 AMD collected from state taxes – vehicle fees from the leading specialist of the municipality, as well as money and receipts of 1.182.000 AMD collected from taxes on buildings and land, local taxes paid to the municipality from the cashier to use for his personal needs.
Besides, in 2019 the head of the community received from the director of “Norakert Kindergarten” 900.000 AMD collected from the fees paid by the parents of the children attending the kindergarten which he did not enter the cash desk of the municipality and used for his personal needs.
On the base of the obtained sufficient evidence charge was pressed against the head of Norakert community according to the Point 1 of the Part 3 of the Article 179, against the leading specialist – according to the Point 1 of the Part 3 of the Article 38-179 and against the cashier – according to the Point 3 of the Part 2 of the Article 38-179 of RA Criminal Code.
A relevant decision was made to suspend the authorities of the head of the community. During preliminary investigation the damage caused to the community was completely restored.
Preliminary investigation was completed and the criminal case with the bill of indictment was sent to court.
Note; Everyone charged with alleged crime offence shall be presumed innocent until proved guilty according to law.
