A criminal case was initiated in the Investigative Division of Avan and Nor Nork administrative districts of Yerevan Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee on banditry committed against “Nor Zovk” supermarket.

On January 30, 2019 at 23:45 a call was received from operative management center of Yerevan Department of the RA Police informing that deputy director of supermarket “Nor Zovk” called them and told that theft had been committed in the supermarket.

Pursuant to initial data, on January 30, 2019 at about 23:20 two masked persons having committed the alleged crime with prior agreement to capture property in large amount illegally entered the storage of “Nor Zovk” supermarket, assaulted the employee by using a weapon and threatening to use violence dangerous for the latter’s life and health captured money in large amount - 1.230.000 AMD and fled.

On January 31, 2019 a criminal case was initiated in the Investigative Division of Avan and Nor Nork administrative districts of Yerevan Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee according to the Points 1, 2, 3 and 4 of the Part 2 of the Article 175 of RA Criminal Code.

Preliminary investigation is ongoing.

Necessary investigatory and other procedural actions are conducted to find out all circumstances of the case. The relevant subdivisions of the Police were instructed to take measures to identify those having committed the alleged crime and bring them to the investigative body.

Note; Everyone charged with alleged crime offence shall be presumed innocent until proved guilty according to law.
