Hooliganism by using weapon in Ararat; criminal case sent to court
In the result of investigatory actions conducted in the framework of the criminal case investigated in General Department of Investigation of Particularly Important Cases of the RA Investigative Committee circumstances of hooliganism by using weapon committed in Verin Artashat in August, 2016 the person having committed the apparent crime was identified.
On August 20, 2016 at 20:55 a call was received from “Astghik” medical center informing that the resident of V. Artashat village of Ararat region, G. Badalyan, born in 1989, was taken to medical center with fractional injuries.
In the result of investigatory actions conducted in the framework of the criminal case initiated on the incident it was found that the young man sustained the injury during an argument in V. Artashat, actual data on argument motive were also obtained.
According to preliminary investigation data, on the day of the incident he went to the plots near the village Verin Artashat together with his friend to ride a motorbike. At about 19:00 on the way back to the village they met the fellow villager M. Stepanyan driving on the opposite side in his own car who sharply drove towards G. Badalyan. The latter maneuvered and went on his way to avoid argument.
According to the obtained data, the fellow villager meeting G. Badalyan in the center of the village blamed him for riding fast by his car and raising dust. A row erupted between them which then continued in another place.
According to the obtained evidence, during the argument the fellow villager fired a shot from a gun “IZh-18 EM” of “A17782” number in the result of which G. Badalyan sustained fractional injuries.
On the base of the evidence obtained through preliminary investigation charge was pressed against 51 year-old man according to the Part 4 of the Article 258 of RA Criminal Code, detention was chosen as a pretrial measure against him.
The criminal case with the bill of indictment was sent to court.
Note; Everyone charged with alleged crime offence shall be presumed innocent until proved guilty according to law.
