Preliminary investigation of the criminal case initiated on murder of the resident of Yerevan Karlen Grigoryan, born in 1997, committed near the village Tlik was completed in Aragatsotn Regional Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee. Charge was pressed against 25 year-old resident of Gyumri.

K. Grigoryan's body was found on February 26, 2017 at the administrative area of Tlik village of Aragatsotn region with numerous cut-pierced injuries on different parts of his body.

In the result of investigatory and other procedural actions conducted in the framework of the criminal case initiated in Aragatsotn Regional Investigative Department a number of circumstances significant for the criminal case were found; the motive was found, the person having committed the alleged crime was identified; he is a resident of Gyumri, born in 1992.

Through preliminary investigation it was found that the victim sometimes carried out passenger transportation in the car of “Mercedes” make. On the day of the case the 25 year-old resident of Gyumri got an arrangement with K. Grigoryan - the driver of «Mercedes» parked in Leningradyan Street, Yerevan to take him to Gyumri for appropriate fee.

Pursuant to the agreement on the same day they set out for Gyumri on Yerevan-Armavir-Gyumri road. At about 17:00 they drove off the road and stopped at the village of Tlik where with the purpose of stealing the victim's car 25 year-old man attacked the driver and stabbed the latter on his chest and neck numerous times inflicting injuries incompatible with life.  The 25 year-old man took the victim out of the car and left on the village road then he tried to escape in the car, however driving for about 400 meters the car stuck in the snow, so he went on his way on foot and was found by the officials of law enforcement bodies.  

On the base of the obtained sufficient evidence charge was pressed against 25 year-old young man according to the Point 8 of the Part 2 of the Article 104 of RA Criminal Code. Detention was chosen as a pretrial measure against him.  

Preliminary investigation was completed and the criminal case with the bill of indictment was sent to court.
