Murder in Yerevan; firearm injuries found at the neck region
A criminal case was initiated in the Investigative Division of Malatia-Sebastia administrative district of Yerevan Investigative Department of RA Investigative Committee on murder of 46 year-old man.
On July 12, 2015 at 18:50 a report was received informing that the 72d group of ambulance service left for one of the apartments of building 17, Ohanov Street, Yerevan where a body of a man was found.
On the base of the call the investigatory-operative group headed by the senior investigator of the Investigative Division of Malatia-Sebastia administrative districts left for the scene.
According to G. Hayroyan’s announcement who took part in the inspection of the scene the dead man was his sister’s husband – Hamlet Asatryan born in 1969. Through the inspection of the body bodily damages specific of firearm injuries were found at the region of the neck.
On July 12 a criminal case was initiated in the Investigative Division of Malatia-Sebastia administrative district according to the Part 1 of the Article 104 and the Part 1 of the Article 235 of RA Criminal Code. On the same day a decision on forming an investigatory group was made.
Through the inspection of the scene a 10 cm long black rifle was found in the wardrobe of the bedroom. The cars “Nissan Patrol” and “Rolls Royce Right” which belonged to Hamlet Asatryan were inspected. Samples were taken from the scene and the body, forensic medical, forensic biological and forensic ballistic examinations were appointed.
Through investigation it was found that Hamlet Asatryan, Armenian by nationality, was a citizen of the RF who came to Yerevan on July 9, 2015 and lived in the mentioned apartment. The body was found by his wife’s brother G. Hayroyan who, being worried that H. Asatryan had not rung him and had not answered his calls, on July 12, 2015 at about 18:00 went to the mentioned apartment, opened the door with his key and saw H. Asatryan’s bloody body in the hall.
Necessary investigatory and procedural actions are conducted to reveal the crime, to provide the comprehensive and objective examination of the circumstances, as well as to identify the person having committed the apparent crime.
