Preliminary investigation of the criminal case initiated on the facts of unleashing and waging an aggressive war by the military-political leadership of the Republic of Azerbaijan along the entire line of contact with the Republic of Artsakh, international terrorism, serious violations of international humanitarian law during armed conflicts, issuing criminal orders during armed conflict, mercenaries is ongoing in the Department of Criminalistics of the RA Investigative Committee.

The investigative body made a decision to find the civilian person, who had been returned to the Republic of Armenia from Azerbaijani side by the efforts of the International Committee of the Red Cross on 29 October, 2020, as a victim, forensic medical and forensic chemical examinations were commissioned. A part of the interrogation of the mentioned person is presented in the video below.

We also inform that on the same day the employees of the Sixth Garrison Unit of General Military Investigative Department and the Department of Criminalistics of the RA Investigative Committee took part in the process of returning the bodies of 29 Armenian servicemen killed during military actions to the Armenian side and with participation of forensic exports of the Scientific-Practical Center of Forensic Medical Examinations of the RA Ministry of Health conducted initial external inspection of the servicemen’s bodies.

We also inform that one more group of volunteers enlisted from the employees of the RA Investigative Committee left for military service and joined the employees carrying out military service headed by the Chairman of the RA Investigative Committee.
