In the result of investigatory measures taken within the criminal case investigated in the Investigative Division of Avan and Nor Nork administrative districts of Yerevan Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee circumstances of the armed assault against «Vivaro Bet» bookmaker center were found out.

As it was already informed that on September 4, 2018  a call was received from Nor Nork Division of General Department of State Protection of the RA Police informing that armed and masked assault was committed against «Vivaro Bet» bookmaker center located at 410/3 Safaryan Street of Avan administrative district. Through inspection of the scene it was found out that on the same day at about 01:35 a masked person armed with a pistol with the purpose of swindling property attacked the office of «Vivaro Bet» bookmaker company located at 410/3 Safaryan Street of Avan administrative district after which illegally entered the room separated for the office operator and threatening with weapon swindled 200.000 AMD which was on the table and fled.

A criminal case was initiated in the Investigative Division of Avan and Nor Nork administrative districts of Yerevan Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee according to the Points 3 and 4 of the Part 2 of the Article 175 and the Part 1 of the Article 235 of RA Criminal Code.

In the result of operative-intelligence measures taken within the criminal case operative information was received in Criminal-Intelligence Division of Yerevan City Department of the RA Police on the allegation that the mentioned assault had been committed by a RA citizen, born in 1990. It was also found out that while committing the crime the car of «Volkswagen Golf» make with fake plate numbers was used.

A motion was submitted to court to get permission to search the car. Through search conducted in the car a pistol with its cartridge was found.

On September 6, 2018 at 10:01 senior officer of Criminal-Intelligence Division of Arabkir of Yerevan City Department of the RA Police, born in 1990, was apprehended to General Department of Criminal-Intelligence of the RA Police on suspicion of committing assault.

Detention was chosen as a pretrial measure against him. The suspect refused to give testimony.

Preliminary investigation is ongoing.
