Precinct electoral commission member interrogated as a suspect; signature not to leave used as a pretrial measure against him
In the result of investigatory actions conducted in the framework of the criminal case investigated in Vayots Dzor Regional Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee signature not to leave was used as a pretrial measure against electoral commission member of precinct N 36/25 as a suspect.
Pursuant to initial investigation data, on April 2 the electoral commission member of precinct N 36/25 M. Mkrtchyan as a voter took part in National Assembly elections in the mentioned polling station in the order defined by law. However, after a while at 18:45 he attempted to participate in voting once more which was found by precinct electoral commission.
M. Mkrtchyan was interrogated as a suspect and on April 3 signature not to leave was used as a pretrial measure against him.
Preliminary investigation is ongoing.
Note; Everyone charged with alleged crime offence shall be presumed innocent until proved guilty according to law.
