Preliminary investigation of criminal case initiated on H. Asiryan’s murder completed
Preliminary investigation of the criminal case initiated on H. Asiryan’s murder in the Investigative Division of Ajapnyak and Davtashen administrative districts of Yerevan Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee was completed, the criminal case was sent to court.
It was earlier informed that on June 30, 2016 a call was received from “Armenia” medical center informing that H. Asiryan, born in 2000, A. Asiryan, born in 1988 and R. Sahakyan, born in 1990, were taken to medical center. On July 1 at about 00:15 16 year-old H. Asiryan died without regaining consciousness.
In the result of urgent investigatory actions conducted in the framework of the criminal case initiated in the Investigative Division of Ajapnyak and Davtashen administrative districts of Yerevan Investigative Department it was found that Asiryan brothers sustained bodily injuries during the argument with R. Sahakyan.
Though investigation it was grounded that on June 30, 2016 at about 22:00 in Huysi avan district of Yerevan R. Sahakyan approached Sahak Asiryan and a row on personal affairs erupted between elder Asiryan brothers and R. Sahakyan. Seeing a knife in the latter’s hand younger Asiryan also joined them and tried to help his brothers during which two of Asiryan brothers were stabbed, R. Sahakyan also sustained injuries. The third brother took two injured brothers to medical center in his friend’s car. Younger Asiryan died in medical center without regaining consciousness.
On the base of the evidence obtained during pretrial proceeding charge was pressed against R. Sahakyan according to the Points 1 and 10 of the Part 2 of the Article 104, the Part 4 of the Article 235 of RA Criminal Code. Detention was chosen as a pretrial measure against him.
Preliminary investigation was completed and the criminal case with the bill of indictment was sent to court.
Note; Everyone charged with alleged crime offence shall be presumed innocent until proved guilty according to law.
