Resident of Hartashen Detained for Beating Fellow Villager and Causing Heavy Bodily Injury to Another Fellow Villager
On 31 August, 2020 from 02:40 to 03:10 3 residents of Hartashen settlement with cut-pierced bodily injuries were taken to “Goris Medical Center” CJSC.
A criminal case was initiated in Goris Investigative Division of Syunik Regional Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee according to the Part 1 of the Article 112 of RA Criminal Code.
Through investigation it was found out that on 31 August, 2020 at about 00:30 during the argument on loud music next to his house 21 year-old resident of Hartashen beat his neighbor. Then going on making clarifications at the area called “Sovkhoz” with a group of fellow villagers, for the purpose of infliction of bodily damage 21 year-old young man stabbed 18 year-old young man for numerous times causing cut-pierced wounds. He also caused heavy bodily damage to 30 year-old fellow villager.
On the base of the obtained sufficient evidence charge was pressed against 21 year-old young man according to the Part 1 of the Article 112 (willful infliction of heavy damage) and the Article 118 (battery) of RA Criminal Code. Detention was used as a pretrial measure against him.
Inspection of the scene was conducted, forensic medical examinations were commissioned, a number of people were questioned, instructions were given to relevant subdivision of the RA Police.
Preliminary investigation is ongoing.
Note; Everyone charged with alleged crime offence shall be presumed innocent until proved guilty according to law.
