Stabbed parents for numerous times; mother’s condition critical

A criminal case was initiated in the Investigative Division of Qanaqer-Zeytun administrative districts of Yerevan Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee on inflicting to parents bodily injuries with a knife committed by the son.
 

On the evening of May 13, 2017 a call was received from medical center “Saint Gregory the Illuminator” informing that the residents of Yerevan - spouses with cut-pierced wounds were taken to medical center. The wife was diagnosed “numerous cut-pierced wounds on the chest”, the husband – “cut-pierced wounds on the left cheek, arm, waist, occiput”. It was found that the spouses had sustained the injuries at home during the argument with their son.
 

The investigatory-operative group headed by the Head of the Investigative Division of Qanaqer-Zeytun administrative districts Arman Nahapetyan immediately left for the site.
 

Pursuant to initial data, on May 13, 2017 at about 21:00 during the argument over domestic affairs, that took place in their flat, the son inflicted bodily injuries first to mother on her vital organs – on the chest then to father who had interfered and then he threw himself from the sixth floor.
 

According to doctors, mother’s health condition is critical. In the result of throwing himself from the sixth floor the son also sustained bodily injuries on his foot.
 

Son and father’s life is not threatened.
 

A criminal case was initiated in the Investigative Division of Qanaqer-Zeytun administrative districts of Yerevan Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee according to the Part 1 of the Article 34-104 and the Part 1 of the Article 113 of RA Criminal Code. Necessary investigatory actions are conducted to provide the comprehensive, complete and objective investigation of all circumstances of the case.


Note; Everyone charged with alleged crime offence shall be presumed innocent until proved guilty according to law.
