Investigation is conducted in Vedi Investigative Division of Ararat Regional Investigative Department of the RA investigative Committee to find out all circumstances of stabbing the resident of Vanashen village.

Pursuant to initial data, on December 9, 2021 at 13:00 a call was received from “Vedi” medical center informing that 53 year-old resident of Vanashen village with a diagnosis of “cut-pierced wounds on the back surface of the chest, second degree hemoptomy-hemorrhagic shock” was taken to medical center.

In the result of taken measures a number of circumstances of receiving the mentioned bodily injuries by the man, the scene, the motive were found out, the person having committed the alleged crime was identified.

Data were obtained on the allegation that the man had received the bodily injuries during the argument with 33 year-old resident of Vedi who worked with him. During the argument the man hit 53 year-old man with a fist on different parts of his body, then stabbed him on the chest.

On December 11, 2021 33 year-old man having committed the alleged crime turned himself to Ararat Police Division, gave self-incriminating explanation. Through the latter’s personal search the knife, which was the instrument of crime, was found and taken.

Inspection of the scene was conducted with his participation during which he presented the details of the case mentioning the cause of the argument.

During preparation of materials a number of forensic examinations were commissioned, the clothes the injured was wearing at the moment of the incident were confiscated.

A criminal case was initiated in Ararat Police Division according to the Part 1 of the Article 112 of RA Criminal Code which was sent to Vedi Investigative Division of Ararat Regional Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee for conduction of preliminary investigation and was received for production.

Preliminary investigation is underway.
