Stabbing n Aragatsotn, charge pressed

In the framework of the criminal case investigated in Aragatsotn Regional Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee stabbing committed in Voskevaz village was revealed, charge was pressed against a man, born in 1983.

On March 22, 2018 at 01:05 a call was received from medical center informing that the resident of Aragatsotn, born in 1975, with cut-pierced penetrating wound on the abdomen was taken to medical center.

A criminal case was initiated in the RA IC Aragatsotn Regional Investigative Department according to the Part 1 of the Article 112 of RA Criminal code and in the result of urgent investigatory and operative-searching measures a number of circumstances significant for the criminal case, the motive were found, the person having committed the alleged crime was identified; he is a resident of the same region, born in 1983.

Through preliminary investigation actual data were obtained on the allegation that the injured and the person having committed the alleged crime were fellow villagers and had unfriendly relations because of joint entrepreneurial activity they had been engaged in and then continued separately. On the day of the incident – on March 21 at about 23:00 meeting in the village the men argued then it turned into brawl during which the injured sustained heavy bodily injury on his abdomen with a cutting-piercing item.

On the base of the obtained evidence charge was pressed against the man, born in 1983, according to the Part 1 of the Article 112 of RA Criminal Code, he was questioned.

The knife which was the crime tool was found. Forensic medical, forensic trace, criminological and forensic medical complex examinations were commissioned.

Preliminary investigation is ongoing, measures are taken to provide the objective, complete and comprehensive investigation of the case.
