Swindling under the pretext of providing the citizen with an apartment in a newly constructed building
Preliminary investigation of the criminal case initiated on swindling money in significant amount by cheating under the pretext of providing the citizen with an apartment in a newly constructed building is ongoing in the Investigative Division of Arabkir administrative district of Yerevan Investigative Department of RA Investigative Committee.
On May 4, 2015 the person authorized by the citizen, T. Khurshudyan submitted an application in Kentron and Norq-Marash administrative districts informing that initial agreement on real estate purchase was signed on July 17, 2009 between the company and the person authorized by the citizen and a receipt was formed. According to the agreement 303.360 USD tantamount to 110.911.449 AMD was paid to the company for two apartments.
Particularly, the company in the face of the director A. Hovhannisyan committed to hand the citizen the apartments N 19 and 36 in the building constructed at the area near Sayat-Nova Street after its construction was over. However, he did not do it.
During preparation of materials it was found that after the construction work had been over, the company handed the citizen only the apartment N 19, but the apartment N 36 cost 134.160 USD tantamount to 49.050.237 AMD was not handed to the citizen. Moreover, on April 16, 2014 the apartment was sold to another person.
A criminal case was initiated in the Investigative Division of Kentron and Norq-Marash administrative districts of Yerevan Investigative Department of RA Investigative Committee according to the Point 1 of the Part 3 of the Article 178 of RA Criminal Code.
On June 1, 2015 according to investigatory subordination the criminal case was sent to the Investigative Division of Arabkir administrative district of Yerevan Investigative Department where investigatory and procedural actions are being taken to find all the circumstances of the deal.
Note; Everyone charged with alleged crime offence shall be presumed innocent until proved guilty according to law.
