In the framework of the criminal case investigated in Tumanyan Investigative Division of Lori Regional Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee a number of circumstances of infliction of firearm injury to the resident of Dsegh were found, the person having committed the apparent crime was identified. The suspect was arrested and questioned.

On February 1, 2016 at 21:15 a call was received from health center of Dsegh informing that the resident of the village of Dsegh, Lori region A. Khachatryan, with firearm injuries on his left foot, received medical aid in the center who then was taken to “Vanadzor Medical Center” and then to university hospital N 1 after Heratsi in Yerevan.

On February 2, 2016 a criminal case was initiated in Tumanyan Investigative Division of Lori Regional Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee according to the Part 1 of the Article 112 (willful infliction of bodily injury) and the Part 1 of the Article 235 of RA Criminal Code (illegal procurement, keeping of weapon).

According to initial data, 42 year-old A. Khachatryan was inflicted firearm injury near SNCO “Health Center of Dsegh”. Inspection of the site was conducted and at 100 meters distance from SNCO blood-like traces were found, samples were taken.

In the result of investigatory and operative-intelligence measures conducted in the framework of the criminal case the person having committed the apparent crime was identified and was apprehended by the police officials. The suspect was arrested and questioned. The suspect stated that A. Khachatryan had been inflicted injury in the result of reckless shooting with a hunting gun which belonged to him.

Preliminary investigation is ongoing, necessary investigatory actions are conducted to provide the objective, comprehensive and complete investigation of circumstances of the case. Samples were taken from the suspect and forensic examination was commissioned to find circumstances significant for the criminal case.
