In the framework of the criminal case investigated in Gegharquniq Regional Investigative Department of RA Investigative Committee initiated on murder of RA citizen A. Iritsyan on 27 January, the resident of the village of Lichq A. Goroyan was arrested on suspicion of murder.

On 26 January, 2015 at 16:05 a call was received from “Medical Center of Martuni” CJSC informing that on the same day Artur Iritsyan with diagnose of “state of agony, with firearm injury” was taken to the medical center. The latter died in hospital without gaining consciousness.

A criminal case was initiated in Martuni Investigative Division of Gegharquniq Regional Investigative Department of RA Investigative Committee according to the Part 1of the Article 104 and the Part 1 of the Article 235 of RA Criminal Code.

Through investigation it was found that Iritsyan was inflicted a firearm injury at the monument situated at the beginning of the village of Lichq. 4 shells of 9 mm caliber were found in the result of the inspection of the scene.

An investigative group has been formed in the framework of the criminal case, urgent investigative activities are implemented to find all the circumstances of the case.

Numerous witnesses have been interrogated, a number of complex examinations have been appointed and the flats of persons suspected of the committed crime have been searched.

On 27 January, 2015 at 05:30 the resident of the village of Lichq of the region of Gegharquniq, 29 year-old A. Goroyan surrendered himself and confessed. On the same day at 06:30 he was arrested on suspicion of the crime envisaged by the Part 1 of the Article 104 and the Part 1 of the Article 235 of RA Criminal Code.
