In the framework of the criminal case investigated in Shirak Regional Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee circumstances of 40 year-old man’s murder in Gyumri were found, the person having committed the apparent crime was identified.
 

On May 14, 2016 at 22:50 a call was received from “Gyumri Medical Center” CJSC informing that 40 year-old Gurgen Avetisyan’s body with firearm injury on the front part of the left half, right lateral half of the chest and wound on the right thigh was taken to medical center.
 

A criminal case was initiated in Shirak Regional Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee according to the Part 1 of the Article 104 and the Part 1 of the Article 235 of RA Criminal Code.
 

In the result of urgent actions conducted in the framework of the criminal case the site was found. Through its inspection a number of items significant for the criminal case were found, samples were taken. The person having committed the apparent crime was also identified who was arrested on May 15 and interrogated. An investigatory experimentation was conducted in the latter’s presence during which the suspect gave detailed testimony.  
 

The clothes of the suspect he was wearing at the moment of the incident were confiscated, necessary samples were taken and forensic examinations were commissioned to find circumstances significant for the criminal case.
 

Preliminary investigation is ongoing.
