598 Million 999 Thousand 600 AMD Restored by Companies Engaged in Technical Inspection of Cars as Damage Caused to State (video)

Active investigatory and procedural actions are ongoing in territorial subdivisions of the RA Investigative Committee to find out all circumstances of apparent abuses committed by companies engaged in technical inspection of transport means, to restore the damage caused to the state.

Based on the license received from the RA Ministry of Transport, Communication and Information Technologies, a number of companies carried out mandatory technical inspection of transport means in several regions of the republic and administrative districts of the capital during which apparent abuses were committed causing the state damage of particularly large amount.

Particularly, with the purpose of swindling fixed payments to be paid to the state budget by citizens for technical inspection, the directors of the company swindled money in particularly large amount without carrying out technical inspection of transport means, by forgery of the payment documents for the service.

Criminal cases were initiated in different subdivisions of the RA Investigative Committee according to the Point 1 of the Part 3 of the Article 178, the Part 2 of the Article 325 and the Part 2 of the Article 315 of RA Criminal Code.

Currently 26 criminal cases on the mentioned incidents are investigated in territorial subdivisions of the RA Investigative Committee.  

As of December 6, in the result of measures taken by the investigators of the Investigative Committee damage caused to the state was restored by a number of companies engaged in technical inspection of cars.

Preliminary investigation is ongoing.
