A charge pressed for violence against a policeman
In the framework of the criminal case investigated in Syuniq Regional Investigative Department of RA Investigative Committee a charge was pressed against the citizen K. Hayrapetyan for committing violence against the official of the Police.
Through investigation it was found that on 4 February, 2015 at 22:35 a car accident happened in one of the districts of Kapan town after which the passenger of “VAZ 21-06” M. Martirosyan and the driver of “VAZ 21-07”H. Hovhannisyan had an argument.
Receiving a call on the accident three policemen left for the scene. The officer V. Safaryan tried to restrict the parties demanding to stop arguing and scolding each other. However, H. Hovhannisyan ignored the legal requirements of the police officer and went on arguing.
V. Safaryan tried to apprehend the latter to Kapan police station during which H. Hovhannisyan’s friend K. Hayrapetyan, who was at the site, attacked the police officer and committed violence against him by punching at V. Safaryan’s face. As a result, the latter received fractures.
On the base of the obtained evidence on February 7, 2015 K. Hayrapetyan was charged according to the Part 2 of the Article 316 of RA Criminal Code.
Note; Everyone charged with alleged crime offence shall be presumed innocent until proved guilty according to law.
