A criminal case initiated on false statement about terrorism
A criminal case was initiated in Yerevan Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee on making a false statement about terrorism.
On March 24, 2016 at 13:20 a call was received from the controller of operation service of “Zvartnots” airport informing that a message on possible terrorism was received on the e-mail of the airport.
Particularly, in the message it was mentioned that on March 24 “the plane of flight 558 scheduled to fly to Moscow at 20:40 will be exploded after which “Zvartnots” airport will be exploded”. In the result of inspections and measures taken by RA competent bodies it was found that the report on terrorism was false.
On March 25, 2016 a criminal case was initiated in Yerevan Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee on the Article 259 of RA Criminal Code. Preliminary investigation is conducted.
