Preliminary investigation of the criminal case initiated on murder of 54 year-old man is ongoing in the Investigative Division of Ajapnyak and Davtashen administrative districts of Yerevan Investigative Department of RA Investigative Committee. In the framework of the criminal case the person having committed the apparent crime was arrested.

As it was earlier informed, on August 31, 2015 the body of 54 year-old V. Aghajanyan with numerous cut-pierced damages on the chest was found in the apartment 15 of the house 41, Margaryan Street, Yerevan.

A criminal case was initiated in the Investigative Division of Ajapnyak and Davtashen administrative districts of Yerevan Investigative Department according to the Part 1 of the Article 104 of RA Criminal Code (murder).

In the result of investigatory, operative-intelligence actions conducted in the framework of the criminal case R. Mkrtumyan was arrested, the knife which was the tool of the crime was found.

Preliminary investigation is ongoing. Measures are taken to provide the comprehensive and complete investigation of the case.

 Note; Everyone charged with alleged crime offence shall be presumed innocent until proved guilty according to law.
