Banditry Disclosed; One Person Arrested
Investigation is conducted in the Investigative Division of Avan and Nor Nork administrative distracts of Yerevan Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee to find out all circumstances of banditry committed against a citizen.
On June 5, 2019 a citizen, born in 1985, submitted a report informing that on the same day at about 18:30 in one of the parks of Yerevan a stranger attacked him, took out his golden chain and cross and fled. However, he pursued the person having committed the alleged crime and returned the things he had stolen.
A criminal case was initiated in the RA IC Investigative Division of Avan and Nor Nork administrative distracts of Yerevan Investigative Department according to the Part 1 of the Article 175 of RA Criminal Code. The citizen, born in 1985, was found the injured party.
In the result of urgent investigatory actions and operative-intelligence measures the person having committed the alleged crime was identified; he is a resident of Yerevan, born in 1973. The latter was arrested on suspicion of committing banditry.
Forensic medical examination was commissioned to find out a number of circumstances significant for the criminal case.
Preliminary investigation is ongoing.
Note; Everyone charged with alleged crime offence shall be presumed innocent until proved guilty according to law.
