Banditry in “Yerevan Mall” Trade Center; Man Arrested (video, photos)
On 31 August, 2021 at about 10:18 the person having committed the alleged crime, with intend to steal money in particularly large amount through banditry, entered the branch of a bank operating in “Yerevan Mall” trade center located on Arshakunyats Avenue, threatening to use violence dangerous for life and health with a gas pistol of «BLOW MAGNUM» model of 9mm caliber he demanded money from the employee of the mentioned branch of the bank then stealing money in particularly large amount - 102.000.000 AMD fled. In order to avoid persecution by security personnel the latter fired a shot in the trade center. However, leaving the area of the trade center he was neutralized and apprehended to Shengavit Police Division.
A criminal case was initiated in the Investigative Division of Shengavit administrative district of Yerevan Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee according to the Point 1 of the Part 3 of the Article 175 of RA Criminal Code.
The person having committed the alleged crime was arrested.
More than a dozen people were questioned, forensic chemical, forensic ballistic examinations were commissioned, the videos captured by the cameras were confiscated.
Preliminary investigation is ongoing.
Note; Everyone charged with alleged crime offence shall be presumed innocent until proved guilty according to law.
