Charge pressed against 26 year-old man for inflicting heavy bodily damage to his sister’s ex-husband
In the framework of the criminal case investigated in Spitak Investigative Division of Lori Regional Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee circumstances of stabbing 30 year-old resident, motive were found, the person having committed the apparent crime was identified.
On December 25, 2016 at 20:40 a call was received from ‘Spitak Medical Center” informing that a 30 year-old resident of Lori region with pierced wound on the right inguinal region, external bleeding, hemorrhagic shock trauma was taken to medical center.
Urgent investigatory actions were conducted in Spitak Investigative Division of Lori Regional Investigative Department to provide the comprehensive, objective and complete investigation of the case. As a result, actual data were obtained on the allegation that the man had been inflicted heavy bodily damage during the argument with his ex-wife’s brother. The latter is 26 years old, a resident of Lori region.
According to preliminary investigation data, the injured met his ex-wife’s brother on December 25, 2016 at about 20:00 near the church “Saint Harutyun” in Spitak town. During the meeting a row over visiting the child erupted. The argument turned into beating during which heavy bodily damage was inflicted to the 30 year-old man with a cutting-piercing item.
On the base of the obtained evidence charge was pressed against 26 year-old man according to the Part 1 of the Article 112 of RA Criminal Code for inflicting heavy bodily damage to his sister’s ex-husband. Detention was used as a pretrial measure against him.
Preliminary investigation is ongoing. Forensic medical and forensic trace examinations were commissioned.
