In the result of investigatory actions of great volume conducted in the framework of the criminal case investigated in Kotayq Regional Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee the way, motive, a number of significant circumstances of murder of two residents of Hrazdan were found.

According to actual data obtained through criminal case murder of the residents of Hrazdan Varduhi Simonyan and Samvel Alikhanyan was committed out of mercenary motives by 32 year-old resident of the same town in his paternal house. The latter had been earlier acquainted with the victims.
 

So, pursuant to preliminary investigation data, on the evening of September 18, 2017 the person having committed the alleged crime drove the victims to his paternal home in the car of «Opel Astra» make used by him, there he beat them and demanded money. Being refused the 32 year-old man strangled Samvel Alikhanyan with a metal wire then hit Varduhi Simonyan on her head with a metal weight killing her.

In order to conceal the traces of grave crime the bodies were wrapped with polyethylene film and sticky ribbon and were taken in the car to the field at the right side of the 51t km of Yerevan-Sevan road where a hole was dug and the bodies were concealed.

Through investigation the persons, who had helped to carry the bodies, were identified.  

On the base of the obtained evidence charge was pressed against 32 year-old resident of Hrazdan according to the Points 1 and 8 of the Part 2 of the Article 104 of RA Criminal Code.

It was earlier informed that the residents of Hrazdan Varduhi Simonyan and Samvel Alikhanyan had been missing since September 18 and their relatives had informed the law enforcement bodies about it. A criminal case was initiated, and in the result of investigatory and operative searching measures taken in the framework of the criminal case investigated in Kotayq Regional Investigative Department their bodies were found on November 2, 2017 in the field near gas station located at Yerevan-Sevan road.    

During preliminary investigation recognition was conducted and based on the clothes, teeth and several orientation data the relatives told that they were bodies of Varduhi Simonyan and Samvel Alikhanyan.

Preliminary investigation of the criminal case is ongoing.
